THE FOUNDER & THE DESIGNER OF MA’NOKA NESLİHAN KARAAĞAÇ
Neslihan Karaağaç, born in İzmir, Turkey is a noted visual artist who has been on her journey of expression for over 20 years. Karaagaç’s works emphasize color harmony through the unification of color palettes with the powerful female aesthetic.
Her exploration of the deep cultural history of hair accessories inspired Karaağaç to establish the luxury label, Ma’noka. Working with a contemporary approach; each hair clip is designed as if it is a miniature sculpture. This collection, ‘’Katun’’ was inspired by Turkish warrior women of the past; strong women who rode horses, brandished swords and went to battle at the sides of the khans. The hair clips of ‘’Katun’’ symbolize the development of concepts such as power, grace, elegance and allure throughout history.
‘’With my belief that women who know how to cherish, love and adorn themselves will have the power to cherish, love and bring light to the world.’’
Inspired by strong Turkish women, Katun collection aims to symbolize the concepts of power, elegance and charm.
Blending the deep cultural history of hair accessories with a contemporary approach, we present products that take their power from the meaning of strong women.
